Some may offer slightly lower prices, but in my experience, the difference is usually not very significant.

In class WhatsApp groups, it’s very common to see messages like:
“My child has outgrown the uniform, so I’m selling it.”

How Much Do School Uniforms Cost?
The total cost varies depending on the school, but school uniforms can be more expensive than many parents expect.
Buying both the regular uniform and the sports uniform new can cost around CLP 100,000 to CLP 200,000 per child.
Winter jackets and uniforms with embroidered school logos are usually the most expensive items.
To reduce costs, many parents buy some items new and others second-hand.
For example, they may purchase new pants but buy a used jacket.

1. Label Every Piece of Clothing
Since all students wear similar uniforms, it’s very easy for clothing to get mixed up.
Writing your child’s name inside shirts, jackets, and sports uniforms can help prevent them from getting lost.
My own child once lost a school jacket.
Unfortunately, I hadn’t written my child’s name inside it, so we never got it back.
Since then, I always label every piece of clothing before the school year begins.

Having only one uniform can make laundry stressful.
